Three folk songs, #21, 22 and 23, are songs Jadan sang with Gen. Vlasov's

Ivan Jadan, at 92, revisits the Bolshoi Theater  in Moscow.

Army Chorus, in Prague, 1944. Vlasov was the heroic Russian freedom fighter whose huge army of anti-Soviet Russians was poised outside Soviet borders in 1944 prepared to liberate fellow Russians in the Soviet Union from Stalin's tyranny. Ivan had met General Vlasov in Berlin and later in Prague. The hopes of Vlasov, Jadan and millions of Russian refugees in Europe were dashed when President Roosevelt, at Yalta, agreed to Stalin's bloody plan to forcibly repatriate these millions of Russians in Europe. Thus Vlasov and his brave men were annihilated by Stalin as American soldiers turned them over to the Red Army. The Vlasov story is still largely unknown in the west. Other recordings made by Jadan/Schadan in Prague, November, 1944, are still being sought from private collectors by the Ivan Jadan Museum on St. John.

In 1999, the rediscovery of Ivan Jadan goes on as major Russian language newspapers in the U. S. and Europe write about Russia's greatest tenor, unknown until now, because Soviets, from Stalin on, destroyed recordings of Jadan. This 28 track CD is now played often over Moscow radio stations.
